The Vernon Family Review - August 2006
"We had a super holiday, Villa Cooklin was a great place to stay and everyone was so friendly. Didn't really want to come back home, other cultures seem too have a more laid back attitude to life than we do in England.
We hired a car for a couple of days drove to Marmaris and then to Datca, where we found a lovely spot by the sea hardly anybody there it was really nice. Datca itself is very nice too. Marmaris is nice but we prefered Bodrum. We did a boat trip only nine people on the trip including us so that was fantastic, so relaxing.
We really had a great time and would recommend it to anyone. Torba is reallly nice with just a short bus ride to Bodrum its a great spot to be. Bus service is great we used it alot. Turkey is a very beautiful place, my son said he was sad to leave because its so beautiful, he's only 8 and obviously appreciated its beauty. We loved Bodrum castle its fantastic."
Head up to the relaxing roof terrace to top up your tan while reading a good book...Waiter!
So far we have never found the need for a car, we usually take advantage of the excellent and cheap local buses or use a scooter to explore neighbouring villages and harbours. However, you may want to hire a car which you can do so by clicking on the link above.
One of the unique features of Bodrum as a holiday resort is that in addition to the active recreational opportunities available by day and the unequaled Bodrum nightlife, so many more tranquil bays, beaches and villages are available to enjoy on the Bodrum Peninsula. No other area on the Turkish Aegean provides the visitor the opportunity to experience traditional Turkish life only a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle of a modern resort.
Ooh, the swimming pool! The pool is a great size which allows you to swim and not just paddle. Ideal for kids and adults as it has a shallow end. There is a good sun bathing area complete with showers, changing room and sun loungers. The pool gets cleaned and filled at the end of May - October.
The roof terrace has a stunning view of the local surroundings and sea! Ideal for sun bathing or a late night drink, the roof terrace is one of the villas favourite spots.
Sure, you can get a cattle class package holiday to Gumbet or Bodrum at quite reasonable prices these days but imagine having your own villa with secluded swimming pool, private roof terrace and sunbathing area all to yourself! Not to mention all the amenities you would normally find at home for convenience. Plus you have your own kitchen to try your hand at some local dishes, that’s assuming you ever get bored of the delicious food at the many local restaurants, or make yourself a quick sarnie if you're peckish.
The villa sleeps up to 5 people comfortably.
1 x master bedroom - double bed
1 x second bedroom - 2 x single beds
1 x sofa bed - sleeps 1 adult comfortably or 2 children
Plus there is a inflatable bed which sleeps an additional 2 if needed
£350.00 per week for the whole villa as of summer 2007.
Please contact us for availability and more information if required -

The province of Mugla features the popular resort cities of Bodrum, Marmaris, Datca, Dalyan, Koycegiz and Fethiye. Beautiful resorts, comfortable hotels and motels, cozy guest houses, impressive ruins of past civilizations and magnificent landscapes offer holiday makers plenty of choice. Mugla, the province's capital, lies inland and is known for its traditional architecture. In the village of Ozluce, a veritable open-air museum east of Mugla, is Turolian Park, where you can find fossils that geologists claim are from five to nine million years old.
